A streak is the number of that band's shows you have picked in a row. Each band keeps its own — a flame on your calling card, one per band.
How it builds
Submit a card for a band's show and your streak for that band goes up by one. Keep doing it every time they play and the flame keeps climbing.
Flames appear at 3. A streak of one or two is real, it just isn't shown yet.
Exactly when it breaks
The moment a show locks without a card from you. Not when the show ends, not when it is scored — at pick-lock. Once the cutoff passes, that show is counted and the flame is gone.
Which means a show you have not picked yet cannot hurt you. Upcoming shows are never counted, so the flame only ever breaks on a night you actually missed.
Shows that can't break it
- Cancelled shows. If a show does not happen as a Pick5 game it is not counted, and an existing streak is left intact.
- Shows added after their own cutoff. A show loaded late was never one you could have played, so it cannot break anything.
- Simulated shows. Promo and test shows never count.
Before you joined
Nothing before your first pick counts against you. The run simply stops there, so a player who joined last week and a player who has been here a year are measured the same way — by what they have done since.
Why it self-corrects
Streaks are worked out fresh every time they are shown, from the shows that happened and the cards you submitted. Nothing is stored. So if a show is later cancelled, or a night is corrected, your flame updates on its own — there is nothing to repair.
